		<description>The Independent Scholar's Handbook is one of my all-time favorite books, too.  I can say without exaggeration that it changed me life.  Pity it has not been updated.  I approached a couple of literary agents to see if they thought the market would bear a new book of this type, but they both said it wouldn't sell.  That is unfortunate (and somehow strikes me as unutterably wrong).

Perhaps someday there will be revival of sorts. In the meantime, thanks for keeping the flame burning.</description>
