		<description>The Independent Scholar&#039;s Handbook is one of my all-time favorite books, too.  I can say without exaggeration that it changed me life.  Pity it has not been updated.  I approached a couple of literary agents to see if they thought the market would bear a new book of this type, but they both said it wouldn&#039;t sell.  That is unfortunate (and somehow strikes me as unutterably wrong).

Perhaps someday there will be revival of sorts. In the meantime, thanks for keeping the flame burning.</description>
